while looking for depictions of a Phoenix, I found a great source of thunderbird images at the Smithsonian. I love the clean lines of Native American artwork, and these minimal design elements and bold use of color work really well with the modern art of Ted Larsen, a fine artist who's work also reminds me of the Quilts of Gees Bend.
