"His embroidered patterns garnish the figures like elaborate costumes, but also suggest a psychological aura, as if revealing the person’s thoughts or feelings."

Ultra Violet Ray

Spent a good amount of time this weekend attempting to dip-dye these slip dresses black. After about 30 minutes of color mixing and attempting to make the dye NOT purple, everything came out an interesting purple-grey shade, with all sorts of fun color variations in between. I can dig it.

The before and after:
I just couldn't resist putting this little .gif together. My brother hates it, thats how i know its good.
a little sunset inspiration
...and i was so into dying things purple that i went with my hair too.
Oh, and did i mention these dyed dresses will be available in the store soon? Because they will.

My sketches from last weekend. Go download "Take a stroll thru your mind" by The Temptations, sit back, break out the colored pencils and back issues of National Geographic, and find yourself a different reality on this Monday afternoon. You'll be surprised at what you might find.

Seriously, the song will put you in another world. Lyrics from The Temptations "Take a Stroll Through Your Mind" (except that last drawing, thats from The Animals "I'm Mad Again"

Full Spectrum

Painted photos, Daniel Sannwald and artist Anselm Reyl for POP magazine. I'm not promising this, but I'm pretty sure it was for Dior.

Collide-ascope

(images via style.com collaged by me)
It's like I've died and gone to sartorial heaven... not the kind with pretty fluffy clouds and pearly gates, but the kind where anything goes, every color matches, and a bright yellow curly wig seems mild. The team over at Meadham Kirchhoffhave created a heavenly kaleidascopic collection that, when broken down piece by piece, is more than wearable.

Conceptually, it's like Shirley Temple on LSD at a Cindy Lauper concert, yet I can easily see those chiffon dresses worn in a beautifully glamorous way, or those tights with a simple minidress for a mod look. Or just wear it all piled up as shown and just say to hell with what others think!

You should probably listen to this if your not familiar with the song.

You know those pieces you have in your closet and absolutely adore, you may not even wear them, but they just make you feel good? These are pieces I rarely ever wear, but their optimistic colors and bold graphics make me want to be more like them. Carefree, vivid, and happy. Some documentation of my sunday afternoon spent getting inspired through inanimate objects.

World of Interiors

Joanna over at Keep Feeling Fascination just keeps providing me inspiration. She did a little post on this magazine, World of Interiors, which lead me on a google image search of beauty. I'll be decorating my house all weekend if you need me.
